✨ Overview

Creator Studio allows you to apply existing freeform layouts, modify them, and save your customized designs for reuse. Layouts can be created for individual pages or full two-page spreads.

🖼 Apply a Freeform Layout

  • Open your project and select the page or spread you want to edit.
  • Open the Layouts panel.

  • Browse the available layouts or use the filters to narrow the results by:
    • Category
    • Number of photos
    • Single-page or spread layout

  • Drag the desired layout onto the page.

✏️ Customize a Layout

After applying a layout, you can modify the existing elements as needed.

You can:

  • Remove photo frames
  • Move or resize photo frames
  • Adjust spacing
  • Change frame shapes
  • Add or modify strokes
  • Add artwork

Apply a Stroke to Photo Frames

  1. Select a photo frame.
  2. Open the Stroke options.
  3. Select the stroke color and size.
  4. Apply the stroke to the selected frame, all photos on the page, or all photos on the spread.

🎨 Add Artwork

  1. Open the Art panel.

  1. Select the appropriate artwork category.
  2. Drag the artwork onto the page.
  3. Resize and position it as needed.

Keep important artwork inside the printable area to reduce the risk of trimming.

💾 Save a Custom Single-Page Layout

📌 Single-Page Layouts

For single-page layouts, create and save the right-page layout first. Creator Studio can mirror the saved layout for use on left pages, helping maintain consistent margins.

  • Open the Layouts panel.

  • Click Save Current Layout.
  • Select the page type:
    • Right Page or Left Page
    • Single Page
  • Enter a name for the layout.
  • Choose whether other team members can see and use the layout.
  • Click Save Layout.

🔄 Reuse a Saved Layout

  • Open the Layouts panel.
  • Open By Category.
  • Select My Layouts.

  • Locate your saved layout.
  • Drag it onto another page.

Note: Artwork or clip art is not preserved when a saved layout is applied to another page. Artwork may need to be added again.

📖 Create a Spread Layout

To create a layout that spans two pages:

  • Open the desired spread.
  • Open Advanced Options.
  • Select Convert to Spread.

  • Open the Layouts panel.
  • Browse and apply a spread-based layout.

💾 Save a Custom Spread Layout

  1. Apply or create a spread layout.
  2. Edit the photo frames and other layout elements as needed.
  3. Open the Layouts panel.
  4. Select Save Current Layout.
  5. Enter a layout name.
  6. Click Save Layout.
  7. Open My Layouts to confirm that the layout was saved.

The custom spread layout can now be reused on other spreads in the project.
