✨ Why PDF Uploading Matters

PDF is one of the most reliable and widely supported file formats. Uploading PDFs allows you to bring in polished designs created outside Creator Studio, such as flyers, certificates, newsletters, or fully designed pages. This can save time, streamline production, and give you more flexibility when building your book.

📁 Requirements Before You Begin

Before uploading, make sure your file meets these requirements:

  • File type: PDF
  • Maximum file size: 16 MB per file
  • Total upload session limit: 1.5 GB combined files

📌 Recommended Export Settings
For best results:

  • Resolution: 300 DPI
  • Flatten layers before exporting
  • Avoid transparency effects
  • Outline fonts or use standard fonts
  • Export in RGB color mode

These settings help ensure your PDF processes correctly and appears clearly when placed in your project.

🚀 Step-by-Step Upload Guide

1️⃣ 🔓 Open Your Project

Log in and open the yearbook project you want to work on.

2️⃣ 🖼️ Access Photos

From your dashboard toolbar, click Photos.

3️⃣ 📂 Choose a Folder

Navigate to the folder where you want your PDF saved.

4️⃣ ➕ Click Add Photos

Inside the folder, click Add Photos.

5️⃣ ☁️ Choose Upload Source

Select where your file is coming from.

🌐 Upload Source Options

💻 My Computer
Upload files directly from your device.
Best for edited documents or files saved locally.

☁️ Google Drive
Import files stored in your Drive account. Requires login and file permission access.

🖼 Google Photos
Import images or files from your Google Photos albums. Only content you own or have full permission for can be imported.

📦 Dropbox
Upload files stored in Dropbox folders. Ideal for shared folders or organized media collections.

🎥 Vidigami (if enabled)
Import files from a connected Vidigami account.

📘 Facebook (if enabled)
Import files from Facebook albums.

⚠️ Permission Reminder

If you do not own a file or it has not been shared with full permissions, you may not be able to view or import it.

✅ Best Practice

For the most reliable uploads:

Upload directly from your computer whenever possible

Or use your project’s Contributor Upload link for outside submissions

6️⃣ 📑 Select Your PDF

Choose your PDF file. A preview should appear once selected.

7️⃣ ⬆️ Upload the File

If the preview looks correct, click Upload.

8️⃣ 🔄 Watch Upload Progress

A progress indicator will appear while the file uploads.

After it fills, processing will begin.

9️⃣ ⏳ Wait for Processing

Once processing finishes, the PDF will appear in your folder just like a standard image file.

🎉 Your PDF Is Ready

Your uploaded PDF is now available and can be placed onto pages just like photos or graphics.

🧠 Tips for Best Results

✔ Use high-resolution PDFs for sharp printing
✔ Keep file sizes reasonable for faster uploads
✔ Avoid extremely small text
✔ Confirm margins if your PDF contains edge content

⚠️ Common Upload Issues

If your PDF does not upload or display correctly:

  • file exceeds size limit
  • resolution is too low
  • file contains unsupported elements
  • upload session limit exceeded

Try exporting again using the recommended settings above.

🏁 Final Reminder

Uploading PDFs is one of the fastest ways to add professionally formatted content into your yearbook. Preparing files correctly ensures smooth processing and high-quality print results.
