This article applies to Section projects only. If your project uses Ladder format, please see this guide instead:  Manage Pages with the Ladder

📚 Using the Section Manager

The Section Manager allows you to view and manage all sections created in your yearbook. From this area, you can create sections, edit pages, rename sections, mark sections ready for review, lock or unlock sections, and delete sections.

🧭 Accessing a Section

To open a section for editing:

  • Click the section name to enter edit mode, or
  • Click the gear icon next to the section and select Edit

This will open the section so you can continue designing pages.

🛠 Section Actions and What They Do

The Section Manager provides several tools for managing your book’s structure and workflow.

✅ Mark as Ready for Review
Indicates that a section is complete and ready to be proofed before finalizing.

🔒 Lock Section
Locking a section means it has been completed, proofed, and finalized. Locked sections prevent further edits and help preserve finished work.

✏️ Rename Section
Allows you to change the name of the section for clarity or organization.

🗑 Delete Section
Removes a section from the book.

⚠️Important:

  • A section cannot be deleted if doing so would:
  • Break a subsequent two-page spread, or
  • Affect a section that has already been locked.

💡 Best Practice

Mark sections as ready for review before locking them. This ensures all edits, proofreading, and approvals are completed prior to finalizing.
