Images and other design elements may be trimmed during production if they are placed too close to the crop, fold, trim, or wrap areas.

Use the guide lines shown in the editor to position important content and extend background images where needed.

📄 Interior Pages

🟣 Magenta Line — Recommended Safe Area

Keep important content inside the magenta or purple line to reduce the risk of it being trimmed or affected near the page edge or fold.

This includes:

• Text
• Faces
• Logos
• Important graphics

⚫ Dotted Line — Crop or Fold Line

The dotted line represents:

• The crop line near the outside edge of a page
• The fold line near the center spine of a spread

Keep important content away from these lines.

Background images and other full-page design elements may extend beyond the crop line so the finished page does not have unwanted white space along the edge.

📕 Covers

Cover files use additional guides for trimming, wrapping, and placement.

🔴 Red Line — Trim / Wrap Line

The red line indicates where the cover will be trimmed or wrapped.

Keep important text, faces, logos, and graphics away from this line.

🟣 Purple Line — Bleed Area

Background images should extend through the bleed area to help prevent unwanted white space along the finished cover edges.

🟢 Green Line — Safe Area

Keep critical content inside the green safe area.

⚫ Dotted Line — Spine Area

The dotted line indicates where the cover folds around the spine.
