✨ Overview

The Edit Photo panel contains the tools used to adjust and customize photos placed on your pages. Select a photo to access options for:

  • Cropping and repositioning
  • Filters and image adjustments
  • Layer order
  • Rotation and mirroring
  • Image coordinates
  • Shadows and strokes
  • Shapes and corners
  • Opacity

 


🖱️ Access the Edit Photo Panel

Select any photo on the page. The Edit Photo panel will automatically open on the left side of the editor.

If the panel is closed, select the photo and click the Edit Photo tab in the left toolbar to reopen it.


🗑️ Remove or Clear a Photo

Click the trash can icon to choose between:

  • Delete Image - Removes the image entirely.
  • Clear Image - Removes the image while keeping its placeholder on the page.

Use Clear Image when you want to replace a photo without removing its existing placeholder.


🔒 Lock a Photo

Use Lock to prevent a photo from being accidentally moved or edited while working on the page.

When a photo is locked, its position and settings are protected until it is unlocked.

To make changes to the photo again, select it and unlock it.


✂️ Crop and Position a Photo

Select Crop/Position Photo to adjust how the photo appears within its frame.

You can:

  • Zoom in or out using the slider.
  • Drag the photo within the frame.
  • Reposition the visible area of the photo.

Click Apply when finished.


🎨 Apply Filters and Photo Adjustments

Select Filter/Adjust Photo to open the photo editor.

🌈 Filters

Under Filters, you can:

  • Select from the available preset filters.
  • Adjust the intensity of the selected filter using the slider.

🔧 Adjust

Under Adjust, you can manually change:

  • Brightness
  • Contrast
  • Saturation
  • Clarity
  • Exposure
  • Highlights

Click Save Changes when finished.


📚 Change the Layer Order

Use the layer controls to change where the selected photo appears in relation to other elements on the page.

You can:

  • ⬇ Move behind all layers
  • ◀ Move back one layer
  • ▶ Move forward one layer
  • ⬆ Move in front of all layers

Each element placed on the page occupies its own layer.


🔄 Swap, Rotate, or Mirror a Photo

Additional photo controls allow you to:

  • Swap Image - Select another image to swap its position with the current image.
  • Rotate Left - Rotate the photo counterclockwise.
  • Rotate Right - Rotate the photo clockwise.
  • Mirror Horizontally - Flip the photo from left to right.
  • Mirror Vertically - Flip the photo from top to bottom.

📐 View and Edit Image Coordinates

The Coordinates tool displays the selected photo's dimensions and rotation values.

Coordinates can be used to match the size and positioning of multiple images more precisely.


🌑 Add a Shadow

Enable Show Shadow to add a shadow to the selected photo.

You can adjust:

  • Color
  • Opacity
  • Blur
  • X offset
  • Y offset

Shadow settings can also be applied to:

  • All photos on the current page
  • All photos in the current section

Select Reset to Default to restore the default shadow settings.


🖊️ Add a Stroke

Use the Stroke tool to add a border around a photo.

You can adjust:

  • Stroke thickness
  • Stroke color

Stroke settings can also be applied to all photos on the current page or within the current section.


🔷 Change the Photo Shape

Use Shapes to change the shape of the selected photo.

Available options include shapes such as:

  • Circle
  • Heart
  • Star
  • Rectangle

Shapes can also be applied to all photos on the current page or within the current section.


🔲 Adjust Photo Corners

Use Corners to apply preset corner styles or create rounded corners.

You can:

  • Select a preset corner style.
  • Enter a Corner Radius value to round the edges.
  • Uncheck Link Corners to set a different radius for each individual corner.

🌫️ Adjust Photo Opacity

Use the Opacity slider to control the transparency of the selected photo.

Lowering the opacity makes the photo increasingly transparent.


💡 Photo Editing Tips

  • Crop and reposition photos to keep the important part of the image visible.
  • Use consistent filters and adjustments across a spread when you want photos to have a similar appearance.
  • Use coordinates when you need photos to have matching dimensions.
  • Use shadows and strokes consistently to maintain a cohesive page design.
  • Check the layer order when photos or other page elements overlap.
