📖 Keep Faces Away from the Spine 📐 Follow Standard Safety Guidelines

Photos, backgrounds, large headers, and other design elements can extend across the center of a two-page spread. Spreads are designed to create a continuous layout with little or no visible break between the two pages.

📖 Keep Faces Away from the Spine

Avoid placing faces directly on or too close to the center spine. Depending on the location of the spread within the book, part of the face may be folded into the binding or become difficult to see.

This recommendation also applies to other important details that should remain fully visible.

📐 Follow Standard Safety Guidelines

Continue following the margins, crop lines, and other print-safety guidelines shown in the editor when designing the spread.
