✨ Overview
If your school, club, or organization wants to raise funds through yearbook sales, the Mark-Up Program allows eligible projects to add a profit amount to the cost of each yearbook sold through a pre-order storefront.
⚠️ Important:
Profit eligibility, processing fees, and payout schedules may vary by yearbook provider. Contact your yearbook provider, sales representative, or account manager for the specific terms that apply to your project.
💰 How the Mark-Up Program Works
For eligible projects, the adviser can sell yearbooks through an online storefront and set a selling price above the base cost of the book.
The difference between the applicable book cost and the storefront selling price determines the potential profit generated from each eligible sale.
Setting Your Selling Price
When determining your storefront price:
- Estimate the maximum number of pages your yearbook may require.
- Determine the profit amount you would like to generate per book.
- Set the storefront price accordingly.
Planning for the maximum expected page count can help prevent the final book cost from reducing the anticipated profit amount later.
‼️Important Note: Which Orders Qualify for Profit?
🛒 Profit is generated from books sold through the pre-order storefront.
📦Books purchased through immediate published ordering are not included in Mark-Up Program profit payouts.
💵 Profit Payouts
Profit payouts are typically issued twice per year based on when eligible orders are fulfilled.
| Orders Fulfilled | Typical Payout Period |
|---|---|
| September–December | February |
| January–August | September |
These ranges are provided as a general guideline. Exact payout dates, processing fees, and eligibility requirements are determined by your yearbook provider.
📞 Contact your yearbook provider, sales representative, or account manager for current payout information.
📧 Payout Information
If your platform includes payout settings, the adviser may be asked to provide an email address or other payment information when configuring the storefront.
Where available, this information can be reviewed or updated under the storefront's Financial or Sales Settings.
💸 Keep Your Financial Contact Email Up to Date
Make sure the email address listed in the Financial Contact area is current and accurate. This address may be used for profit payout communications and related financial information.

🎟 Alternative Profit Options
Depending on your yearbook provider, additional options may be available instead of receiving a standard profit payout, such as:

- Applying the profit toward future yearbook purchases
- Receiving a voucher or account credit
- Donating the profit through an available charitable program
📲Contact your yearbook provider for available options and requirements.
